36 years of teaching experience.

I was born and raised in Williamson, WV . I am a 1974 graduate of Williamson High School. I have degrees from Marshall University in Huntington, WV - a B.S. in Social Studies -Comprehensive 7-12 (1981) and a MA. in Elementary Education(1985). I also am certified in AP US History and Gifted and Talented.  I have been teaching for 36 years.

I began my teaching career in WV in 1981. I taught at Chattaroy Jr. High, Lenore High School and Tug Valley High School in WV until leaving in 2000.   In 2000 I moved to SC and taught 6th grade Social Studies at Carvers Bay Middle School. In 2006 I taught one year at Georgetown Middle School and in 2007 I moved to Waccamaw High School until 2014.  In 2014 I became a member of the faculty at Howard Adult Center teaching adult education.

I was also a cheer coach  in WV from 1982 until 1995 and at WHS from 2002-2014.  While at WHS the WHS Competitive Cheer Team won many titles including 2 region championships and one lower state championship and qualifying for State Cheer Final for 8 years and placing as high as 3rd in the state.

I have been married to her husband, John, for 43 years. John is retired from the Norfolk Southern Railway where he was an engineer. He is also an assistant baselball coach at Waccamaw High.  We have two children, Sarah Hagaman Colegrove who teaches at Waccamaw Intermediate School and is a graduate of Southern Wesleyn University and Zack Hagaman who is a 2010 graduation of WHS where he excelled in baseball and academics. Zack is a graduate of Charleston Southern University.  He played 4 years on the CSU Baseall Team as a scholorship athlete and currently is the assistant coach for the team.  I have two grandsons, Justin Colegrove who graduated from WHS in 2014 and is attending Tri-County Tech and Caleb Colegrove a 11th Grader at Waccamaw High School.

I love teaching and am honored to be able to teach students in Georgetown County.
